You can start with a few sentences, ask someone to read with you, or look for local support. No particular identity or level of confidence is required to use this page.
An optional exercise
- Choose one paragraph from the argument, or a short piece you want to read.
- Read it at your own pace. You can read aloud, listen with a text-to-speech tool, or ask someone to read alongside you.
- Choose one sentence. Say or write what you think it means, then point to the words that helped you decide.
- Consider what you agree with, question, or want explained. You can stop here or try another paragraph.
You do not have to submit your reflection or complete the exercise.

Public-library access
Get a Las Vegas–Clark County library card
Library cards are free. Clark County residents can apply online for an Instant eCard with access to digital books; applicants outside the county have more limited online access. Online applications require identity and address verification. For physical borrowing, visit a branch with valid photo ID and proof of current residence. Borrowing limits and overdue, lost, or damaged-item charges can apply. Outside this area, ask your local public library about its card and visiting options.
